Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the farm, including overseeing planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on farm equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Monitor and manage irrigation systems to ensure proper water supply for crops.
- Implement pest control measures to protect crops from damage.
- Supervise and train farm workers in various tasks such as planting, pruning , and harvesting.
- Keep accurate records of crop inventity, expenses, and other relevant data.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and supplies for the farm.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural setting is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform equipment repairs.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment used in farming operations.
- Basic math skills for recordkeeping and inventory management.
- Knowledge of herbicide and pesticide application - Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
